Midwife & Hypnobirther

Lydia Schorah, Midwife and HypnobirtherLydia Schorah is a Registered Midwife and Hypnobirther. In addition, she is is a part of the Yoga Mama teacher training faculty. She studied at Birmingham City University and graduated with a BSC honours degree in 2012. She currently practices at a central London hospital as a community midwife. In this role, she provides continuity of care to families.

Lydia has experience in teaching antenatal classes and has worked on government initiatives to improve maternity care. She is a keen yogi and has been practising for more than 7 years. With her passion to support women through pregnancy as a midwife and her own personal yoga practice, training as a pregnancy and postnatal yoga teacher felt like the next step in her career.  As a result, in 2019 she successfully qualified as a pregnancy yoga teacher through Yoga Mama.

Lydia currently teaches a community pregnancy yoga class in Camden, her classes are balanced by flow sequences, visualisation and breathing techniques to support women in pregnancy and labour along with recovery in the postnatal period.
