AUTUMN 2025 COURSE
COURSE SCHEDULE
Our Autumn 2025 Pregnancy Yoga teacher training course will have the following schedule.
- Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 September: In-person
- Saturday 28 September: Online
- Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 October: In-person
COURSE CRITERIA
The objective of the course is to widen qualified yoga teachers’ expertise and complement trained professionals who already support women during pregnancy and birth. In addition, we look at presenting a safe, conscious, healthy approach to yoga during pregnancy, and how to teach it effectively.
This pregnancy yoga teacher training course will run with a maximum of 10-12 students. The course runs over five days of classes, spread over three weekends.
We create an environment that promotes dynamic and interactive learning from the start. In addition, we also encourage students with positive feedback, individual attention and support. Each session reflects a specific content focus. Therefore, students must attend all sessions in order to qualify to teach pregnancy yoga. Once students have completed the course, we strongly advise them to start teaching as soon as possible. This will help them to cement the connection to what they have learnt during the course.
The course is suitable for yoga teachers who already have a yoga teaching qualification. We may also consider applications from midwives and doulas and other health professionals who have a regular personal yoga practice.
During the course, we cover the following topics:
- Asana, pranayama (breathing and relaxation techniques)
- Sequencing pregnancy and postnatal classes
- The dos and don’ts of pregnancy yoga
- Propping and assisting pregnant students
- Prenatal and postnatal anatomy for yoga
- Common ailments associated with pregnancy
- Setting up classes for pregnant students
Prior to the start of the Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training course, students have to do some pre-course reading and class observations. Assessment on the course is ongoing and includes:
- Observing taught classes and writing up observations
- Submitting a satisfactory class plan designed especially for pregnant women
- Teaching a class that will be observed and assessed by the course tutors
In addition to this, students are expected to attend and participate in all classes in the schedule. Should you miss a session, you will need to retake it at a later date in order to qualify to teach pregnancy yoga. Furthermore, in order to graduate from the course, students should successfully complete all assessments.
The Yoga Mama Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training course costs £800. Please note that applications to enrol on our Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training courses close 7 days before advertised course state dates.

FROM OUR COMMUNITY …
This training gave me the tools and confidence to support pregnant women with real care. Cherie’s knowledge is invaluable.
– 2023 graduate
Loved the fact that there was an ‘open floor’ approach to the classes. Although we were led clearly and confidently by Cherie and the other experts teaching on the course, there was a lot of room for the collected expertise of the students to be capitalised on and was a wonderful shared learning experience.
I found all of the course to be really useful. Extremely impressed at the quality of the teaching and programme given that there has been such a short turnover to transfer it to digital.
I thought being able to go into small groups over Zoom was really great. Didn’t really feel like I missed out by not being face to face.
